“A Number of Records Later, I Still Want to Work Towards My Goals.” Joshita Sharma

Currently holding the position of Assistant Manager at Quadrafic Media and a record holder in the India Book of Records for making the largest national emblem using thread and nails, Joshita Sharma is an inspiration for all of us. She was associated with multiple reputed universities as the Assistant Professor of Design. With a zeal to study more, she is also pursuing her Ph.D. from Amity University, Rajasthan, in communication design.

Hailing from Rajasthan, she is an art educator by profession and has been working in the same field for the last 6 years. She is so dedicated to her artistic skills that she decided to create the largest national emblem using just thread and nails. It took her 28 days and 48 minutes to complete a 16-foot-by-9-foot emblem on black plywood using golden thread and iron nails. The art piece portrayed "Satyamev Jayate" along with the Lion Capital of Ashoka Pillar. This art piece by Joshita Sharma is a record holder in the India Book of Records, as confirmed on December 3, 2021. For this, Joshita is grateful for all the overwhelming support she received from the female artists working in the art field. She believes every woman who is interested in the field of art is capable of anything. She feels that the field of art is very beautiful and vibrant; it just deserves a little more recognition and fame. Joshita dedicates her victory to all the female artists around the globe.

Recently, her artwork again gained popularity when she became a placeholder in the Asia Book of Records on January 25, 2022.

Joshita has been interested in art since childhood. She spent most of her summer vacations learning the nuances of painting and dancing. She is grateful to her parents for letting her pursue her passion for art and design. They motivated her to work hard every day and be kind and helpful towards others.

Ms. Sharma has a number of feathers in her cap, with two records for her artwork and one more from the Limca Book of Records for dancing with 118 pots on her head. She is really the brilliant child her family has raised her to be. Along with these, she has a number of accolades to her name at the national and state levels. She is an NCC cadet and learned a number of survival skills during NCC camps.

Life has been quite a roller coaster for her, and Joshita looks forward to every day just to witness how it turns out. Life has been a great teacher for her, and she has learned a lot from her experiences. For this, it was important to get experience by making memories and mistakes.

Even after getting so many awards and accolades, she still doesn't believe that she has achieved her life goals. She is working hard every day to see what she can build and turn into something useful.
