Lifestyle: Lieutenant Commander Nitika Rai, is an experienced Naval Officer, Who served the Indian Navy for 12 years. She had undergone her initial military training at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala wherein She was exposed to basic military training along with development of combat, operational, HR, logistics and survival skills under tough physical & environmental conditions. During her illustrious carrier with Indian Navy, she has handled various roles encompassing Logistics & SCM, HRM, Finance & Procurement and Project Management. She had been instrumental in upkeep of various intra/inter departmental functions and a trusted advisor to HOD for delivering operational & administrative excellence.

Education: She did her Masters in Business Administration in HR & Marketing from Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute, Bareilly, PG Diploma in International Logistics & SCM from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune. She also has a Specialisation in Global SCM from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi. She completed her Bachelors in Computer Application from Invertis Institute of Management Studies Bareilly and Initial schooling at Hartmann College, Bareilly. Throughout her educational & professional journey, she has been a dedicated and a thorough professional and now, post release from her Naval career, She is working with EY as a Senior Technology Consultant since Jul 21.


Childhood: She was born and brought up at Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. Her father, Mr Pradeep Kumar Rai was a Bank Manager and Mother, Mrs Anjali Rai is a housewife. She is having two siblings, a sister and a brother who are married working in the corporate sector. She is married to Major Sumit Sharma who is presently serving the Indian Army and they have a daughter. She share a special bonding with her father who taught me different faces of life and was the sole reason for her joining the Indian Armed Forces. She is always kicked by a quote that her father always used to say and act "Everything is difficult before it becomes easy".

Her Journey of life began at Bareilly with my basic schooling from Hartmann College, Graduation from Invertis Institute of Management Studies and PG Diploma in HR & Marketing from Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management Studies, Bareilly. At an age of 22 ,While she was doing her PG Diploma, She got selected in Indian Navy and was the only girl from Bareilly who was shortlisted to undergo Naval training in Logistics branch. After the completion of her Naval training, She got commissioned on 05 Jul 2010 at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerela. Rigorously trained both physically and mentally in Naval Academy for 6 months and theoretically at INS Hamla and thereafter got my first appointment at Chennai.

Her favourite vacation was anywhere she can spent time with her family. Well, She is not a big fan of movies. Her motto for life is: "Accept the challenges in life and always have a Plan B in place" and also "let all fears be your dears".

Major Achievements Awarded "First Book Prize" in debate Competition at Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala (INA) Kerala, Awarded "First Prize in Paper Presentation and Word Power" at Amarpali Institute in Uttrakhand. Awarded "First Prize in Declamation and Extempore Competition" in Bareilly, UP, Nominated as a speaker for 100 women employees on International Women's Day 2021 on the topic "Women Empowerment and Gender Sensitization" by INS India, Delhi Area, Nominated as Lady Liaison Officer of Indian Navy to various foreign dignitaries, Nominated as Expert Speaker on various Leadership topics conducted by "Human Resource Association of India – The 2022 Dialogue and Masterclass", Conferred "Best Women of Excellence Award 2022" under the category "Naval Officer-Operational Expert" by the Crazy Tales.


According to her life as an "Attitude towards it". Life is completely uncertain and She says take it day after day. For her each day is a lesson as She is working women for past 12 plus years and She is having a six month old daughter, each day for her is completely new its all learnings and learnings. She says that she have no future plans as of now
