Gulab Jamun Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk powder(Khoya) approx 125grams
  • 2 teaspoons Maida flour used for all purposes
  • teaspoon baking soda
  • Cardamom powder
  • 2-4 teaspoons of milk or water(if needed)
  • Oil or ghee as needed for frying
  • 1 to 1 cups sugar
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 1 lemon juice

Ingredients For Sugar Syrup

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • Kevda(flavouring agent)

Make Sugar Syrup

  • Take a pot and add sugar & water.
  • Now on a medium flame boil until the sugar dissolves and becomes sticky and thick.
  • Add rose water, cardamom powder & lemon juice. Now keep it aside. Your syrup is now ready.

Making Dough

  • Take a bowl, mix all together Mawa(khoya), cardamom powder and baking powder.
  • Now pour milk as per required, make sure it doesn't get ruined.
  • Now mix both of them to form a dough.
  • Then divide the dough into small balls.
  • Now take these balls into your palm and roll them to make a nice round ball structure.

How To Prepare Delicious Gulab Jamuns At Home?

Indian Dessert : Gulab Jamun
  • Take the khoya in a bowl & mix all together Mawa(khoya), cardamom powder and baking powder, milk and mash it so well that there are no lumps in it.
  • Now mix both of them to form a dough. Leave the dough for at least 30mintues.
  • Now divide the dough into small balls.
  • Add oil to the pan and keep it on medium heat.
  • Now for frying, put the Gulab Jamun balls in the pan carefully and as soon as the golden spots start coming on them, start rolling them so that they are evenly cooked from all sides.
  • Take a pot and add sugar & water. Now on a medium flame boil until the sugar dissolves and becomes sticky and thick. Add rose water, cardamom powder & lemon juice. Now keep it aside. Your syrup is now ready.
  • Allow the Jamun balls to cool down at least for 10 minutes. Now add them into the hot sugar syrup pot.
  • Now gently rotate the balls in the syrup. Let it soak for 45 minutes before serving.
  • Now serve these yummy Jamun Gulab balls. You can serve them with sugar syrup or vanilla ice cream.
