Tej Pratap Yadav, the former minister from Bihar and son of RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, has made headlines again—this time for his personal life, not politics. He recently shared a post on Facebook revealing that he has been in a long-term relationship with a woman named Anushka Yadav.

In the post, he stated, "I am Tej Pratap Yadav and the one seen in this picture is Anushka Yadav. We have been known to each other for the last 12 years. We are in love and have been in a relationship for 12 years."

He also added that he had wanted to share this for a long time and finally gathered the courage to tell everyone. However, instead of support, his post received strong criticism on social media. Many users reminded him that he is still legally married to Aishwarya Rai, whom he married in 2018.

The marriage between Tej Pratap and Aishwarya Rai—granddaughter of former Bihar Chief Minister Daroga Rai—was a grand affair. But soon after the wedding, problems began. Despite this clarification, the issue got worse. Lalu Prasad Yadav, his father and RJD president, took a strict step and expelled Tej Pratap from the party for six years. He further mentioned that the family had decided to completely distance themselves from him. In a public message, Lalu said that Tej Pratap’s actions and behaviour go against the values and culture of their family. He added that such behaviour affects their fight for social justice.

Aishwarya Rai also reacted to this whole situation. She questioned why the family got her married to Tej Pratap if they already knew about his long-term relationship. “Why was my life ruined?” she asked emotionally. She also said, “I came to know about my divorce from the media. Now the truth is out, and it’s clear that blaming the woman is always the easiest thing to do. I will continue my fight.”
